It had been a whole since I'd used a punching bag regularly. This was the best my wife would let me get away with so I got it.
I'm just punching, not kicking.
The padding gives but is still firm, great for my wrists.
Everlast still knows how to make punching bags.

I think this bag is a good value for the money, except for the fact that it moves across the floor every time you hit it. I have it full of water, but it still moves.

While this item is great fun for light-hitting strikers, harder punchers will be forced to maneuver around the object to move it back into its original spot due to the way it dances when hit. That, surprisingly enough, is pretty fun - although tedious if you don't like to have to move your target. My fiancé and I got this for light workouts, and we're having a good time with it. The lively action when you hit the item is fun. It does quite well for a stand-up target. Just don't expect it to live up to serious punishment. If you're a big striker you'll likely be knocking this one over at some point even though it's well-built. The base is 200 lbs. and the spring action releases some of your striking energy, but this thing dances a full foot on my moderately powerful hits. If I went any further I do believe this item would hit the ground regularly. It's decent fun, and a good alternative to a heavy bag, especially for lighter workouts for smaller strikers or speed training.
