I have been wearing these weights for a week and they seem to be very well constructed. They are comfortable and also effective, and are worth the price.

Ankle weights get a bad rap in some quarters, with folks claiming they cause joint injuries. I would say injuries probably result from either improper use (why would you ever kick a bag while wearing them?) or using too much weight too soon. Personally, I've never had an ankle-weight related injury, and I believe the key is a conservative approach to their use.
Adjustability is the key to the conservative approach. I love the fact that you can adjust the weight in these. I like to wear my ankle weights all day. This provides a low-intensity resistance that does wonders for general leg strength. With the non-adjustable type, you're stuck with whatever you bought. If you buy a non-adjustable pair of ten-pounders and try to wear them all day, you'll be staggering around after only an hour. No wonder some people get sore joints! But with the adjustable weights, you can ''ramp up'' slowly over time. This is the safest way to use your ankle weights, and it produces good, solid gains in leg strength. These weights are well-made, very sturdy, and well-designed for ease of use. In addition, they are well-padded and comfortable to wear. I usually put them on first thing in the morning and forget I have them on until the end of the day when I put my feet up and cross my ankles.Try these! If you think you MIGHT like them, you probably will!
