Best deal for pullup/chinup bar, 2005-06-05 09:12:10

This thing requires no permanent mounting hardware. You can put it in place and remove it in under 5 seconds. There are some accessories available for it, but they seem a bit pricey to me. Overall, the Door Gym is perfect for pull-ups and chin-ups, offering multiple grip locations. You can also use it as a pushup stand, but I would rather use actual pushup stands.

This product is a tremendous improvement over the window gym and the sink gym I had been using, it's more flexibility, less risk of defenestration and no more tussles with dirty dishes. I'm giving one to every student in my class!

It does what it says it does. I have found it useful for myself and my teenage son.

The product is great. My only complaint is that it does not have the foam grip on outer part. The fast shipping makes up for it.

Easy to assemble and use! Only hitch is make sure your door frame is sturdy enough. I live in an older house and only one frame doesn't make horrible wood cracking noises when I use this guy.

This is a simple product that really does a good job. It took me about 10 minutes to assemble and the only tool I needed was included. It sets up quickly and works great. I am taller and heavier than the average Joe, but it shows no signs of failure or of doing any damage to my door frame. I have to use it in a door that has a step down on one side to get full extension, but that is the case with any doorway chin up bar. I like the grips more than I thought I would. I only gave it 4 out of 5 stars because I think they have it priced a little high.

The door gym was simple to install even though the directions on paper weren't very clear. It comes with a safety metal plate that you stick inside the door frame, so that it doesn't hit you if it accidentally falls. Also, it comes with a small metal wrench to tighten the bolts during installation. You can do pull ups on it too which is safer for your wrists in the long run. Good product.
